Spring Blossoming: Our Floral Favorites for Beautiful Blooms on Your Wedding Day

Pandemic Planning

In 2021, wedding planning is more intentional than ever before. According to wedding wire, most couples spend on average between $700 and $2500 on flowers for their special day. Your style and needs, paired with time of year, location, and type of florals will all contribute to varying price points. With endless options and local florists eager to make your floral arrangement dreams a reality, you have to start with what you like. Some of our favorite floral designs start with a tried and true pick – roses. Roses represent romance and remain timeless in celebrating love. They offer a gorgeous, classic feel and can truly elevate your celebration. Picking the right color flowers is important to keep with your wedding theme and embrace your style as a couple. Luckily, most flowers, even roses, come in a variety of colors, such as striking reds, sleek whites or even bright yellow for an accent color in the spring. Changing the color of the flower can change the mood it creates. A bright red may lend itself to a black tie affair, while white may pair well with greenery for the spring. One thing is certain, you can simply never go wrong with a classic.

Another elegant option are calla lilies, stunning in white during the summer and rich, bold maroons in the winter, these beautifully shaped flowers come in two varieties, a long smooth stem version suited for a stunning bouquet or arrangement; or a short version that makes a gorgeous, timeless boutonniere.

If you’re looking for something as delicate as it is beautiful for an airy celebration, perhaps a peony can fit your every need. These feature a stunning pastel pink, and make for a gorgeous bouquet or centerpiece during a spring or summer celebration. These rank high on our list of favorites. Important to note, these ring in on the more expensive side, so if you have to have them, budget accordingly.

Two other great options are hydrangeas or tulips, both stunning in color but also wonderful in white. A tip for a beautiful bouquet – mix in some leafy greens to make your bouquet more full and cascading with life. With the current theme of leaving tradition behind and opting for more relaxed affairs, bouquets of wildflowers are becoming increasingly popular. These also make a great addition to a bouquet with a more popular base flower.

Florals are the perfect romantic touch for every occasion, especially weddings. They remain a signature symbolic touch, no matter how modern your take on them becomes. Working with your local florist can give you insight into what florals will pull your wedding day together. No matter the season, your bouquet should be as beautiful as your love and totally customized to fit you as a bride.
